Abstract: Objective: To report the surgical management of bilateral femoral hernia in an elderly patient, highlighting the laparoscopic TAPP technique and postoperative complications. Method: The patient was 74 years old, with abdominal pain and bilateral femoral swelling, without signs of strangulation. Bilateral laparoscopic TAPP surgery was performed with a low-grammage mesh. In the postoperative period, there was a right femoral abscess, which was treated with tomography-guided puncture and third-generation cephalosporin. Results: The hernia repair was adequate, and the abscess was resolved with drainage and antibiotic therapy. The patient had a satisfactory recovery in 6 months.
