GRUPO DE CUIDADO E ATENÇÃO À SAÚDE DOS PACIENTES COM ESCLEROSE MÚLTIPLA: UMA PROPOSTA MULTIDISCIPLINAR
A Esclerose Múltipla (EM) é uma doença autoimune, crônica, progressiva, altamente incapacitante. O Projeto Fisioterapia Neurofuncional Ambulatorial na Esclerose Múltipla tem por objetivo prestar consultoria e orientação fisioterapêutica no atendimento ambulatorial à pacientes com disfunção neuromotora decorrentes da EM. O objetivo deste trabalho é, caracterizar os pacientes avaliados até o momento e relatar a nova proposta de intervenção: O Grupo de cuidado e atenção à saúde dos pacientes com Esclerose Múltipla – Uma proposta Multidisciplinar. Os pacientes são avaliados pelo Índice de Barthel (IB), pela Escala de Severidade da Fadiga (FSS), pela Escala de Impacto da Esclerose Múltipla (MSIS–29) e pela Multiple Sclerosis Scale Walking – Brasil (MSWS 12–BR), e são mensurados:espasticidade, flexibilidade de membros inferiores, velocidade de marcha e mobilidade funcional. Os pacientes avaliados pela equipe de Fisioterapia foram convidados a participar da proposta de atendimento em grupo, pensada e executada de forma multidisciplinar com a medicina, enfermagem e neuropsicologia. Até a presente data foram avaliados 145 pacientes, sendo a maioria de mulheres (72,4%), com médias de idade de 46,1 anos e de tempo de diagnóstico de EM de 9 anos, sendo a maioria dos pacientes classificados como Independentes pelo IB e classificados como tendo fadiga pela FSS. Até o momento ocorreram os dois primeiros encontros do grupo, sendo o inicial sobre “atualizações de tratamento farmacológico e formas de enfrentamento frente à doença” e o segundo sobre “tônus, espasticidade e alongamentos”. Participaram 9 pacientes (3 homens, 6 mulheres), com média de idade 43,6 anos (±9,06) e média do tempo de diagnóstico da EM 4,6 anos (±11,31). A abordagem multidisciplinar em grupo vem apresentando-se como uma ferramenta extremamente enriquecedora na atenção à saúde dos pacientes com EM, contribuindo para formação de vínculo entre pacientes e sua equipe.

Abstract:
Multiple Sclerosis (MS) is an autoimmune, chronic, progressive, highly disabling disease. The Neurofunctional Ambulatory Physiotherapy Project in Multiple Sclerosis aims to provide consultancy and physiotherapeutic guidance in outpatient care for patients with neuromotor dysfunction resulting from MS. The objective of this work is to characterize the patients evaluated so far and report the new intervention proposal: The Group of care and health care for patients with Multiple Sclerosis - A Multidisciplinary proposal. Patients are assessed using the Barthel Index (IB), the Fatigue Severity Scale (FSS), the Multiple Sclerosis Impact Scale (MSIS – 29) and the Multiple Sclerosis Scale Walking – Brazil (MSWS 12 – BR), and are measured: spasticity, flexibility of lower limbs, gait speed and functional mobility. The patients evaluated by the Physiotherapy team were invited to participate in the group care proposal, designed and executed in a multidisciplinary way with medicine, nursing and neuropsychology. To date, 145 patients have been evaluated, the majority of whom are women (72.4%), with averages of age of 46.1 years and time of diagnosis of MS of 9 years, with the majority of patients being classified as Independent by the IB and classified as having fatigue by the FSS. So far, the first two meetings of the group have taken place, the first on “updates of pharmacological treatment and ways of coping with the disease” and the second on “tone, spasticity and stretching”. Nine patients participated (3 men, 6 women), with a mean age of 43.6 years (± 9.06) and an average time of been presented as an extremely enriching tool in the health care of patients with MS, contributing to the formation of a bond between patients and their team.
