Gracilaria birdiae pode ser um alimento alternativo para aves ?
Objetivou-se avaliar o potencial
nutricional da Gracilaria birdiae do litoral
potiguar e sua digestibilidade em ração de
aves. Para analises físico-químicas e ensaio
de digestibilidade, foi adquirido material in
natura, posteriormente desidratado e triturado.
Para digestibilidade foram utilizadas 20 aves
poedeiras semipesadas da linhagem Bankiva,
submetidas a dois tratamentos com dez
repetições cada. Para alimentação das aves,
ofertou-se dois tratamentos, ração controle
(RCO), e a inclusão de 20% da Gracilaria birdiae
na ração (RGB). As análises bromatológicas
mostraram possuir consideráveis concentrações
de matéria mineral e FDN (fibra em detergente
neutro), baixos teores de lipídeos, FDA (fibra em
detergente ácido) e pectina. A Gracilaria birdiae
apresenta potencial fonte de fibras e minerais
que podem suplementar a ração.

Abstract:
The objective of this study was to
evaluate the nutritional potential of Gracilaria
birdiae in the Potiguar coast and its digestibility
in poultry rations. For physicochemical analysis
and digestibility assay, in natura material was
obtained, later dehydrated and crushed. For
digestibility, 20 semi - heavy laying hens of the
Bankiva strain were used, submitted to two
treatments with ten replicates each. For feeding
the birds, two treatments, control ration (RCO),
and the inclusion of 20% of Gracilaria birdiae in
the diet (RGB) were offered. The bromatological
analyzes showed to have considerable
concentrations of mineral matter and NDF (low detergent fiber), low levels of lipids,
FDA (acid detergent fiber) and pectin. Gracilaria birdiae presents a potential source of
fiber and minerals that can supplement the feed.
