GÊNERO E ENEM: UMA PERSPECTIVA FORMATIVA SOBRE A AVALIAÇÃO DO ENSINO MÉDIO
O Exame Nacional do Ensino Médio (ENEM) é atualmente o maior e mais importante exame de larga escala no Brasil, ele reúne questões de todas as áreas do conhecimento. Sua principal função é classificar os alunos as vagas nas universidades públicas do país. Muitos trabalhos sobre o ENEM indicam a existência de diferenças de desempenho entre o sexo dos candidatos. Por esse motivo, esse trabalho buscou investigar se haveria diferenças de desempenho em relação ao sexo dos candidatos nas questões de Física do ENEM de 2009 até 2017. Para isso utilizamos a ferramenta estatística distância de Cohen que possibilita observar o tamanho do efeito da diferença entre os grupos. Como também a Razão de Chance para identificar se candidatos de um determinado sexo teriam mais chances de acertar as questões que os candidatos do sexo oposto. Nossos resultados apontam que em todos os anos analisados os candidatos do sexo masculino apresentam melhor desempenho em relação as candidatas do sexo feminino. Além disso, 67% das questões estudas os candidatos do sexo masculino possuem maior chances de acertar as questões que as candidata do sexo feminino. Outro resultado observado é que as questões que apresentam maiores chances de acertos dos candidatos do sexo masculino são questões onde a contextualização ocorre a partir de situações consideradas do universo masculino. Para além dos dados apresentados busca-se refletir sobre as possibilidades formativas do retorno dessas informações para as comunidades escolares.

Abstract:
The National Secondary Education Examination (ENEM) is currently the largest and most important large-scale exam in Brazil, the items are of all knowledge areas. Its main function is to classify students for vacancies in public universities in the country. Many works on the ENEM indicate the existence of performance differences between the candidates' gender. For this reason, this study sought to investigate whether there would be performance differences in relation to the sex of candidates in the Physics questions of the ENEM from 2009 to 2017. For this, we used the Cohen distance statistical tool, which makes it possible to observe the effect size of the difference between the groups. As well as the Odds Ratio to identify whether candidates of a particular sex would have more chances of getting the questions right than candidates of the opposite sex. Our results show that in all years analyzed, male candidates perform better than female candidates. In addition, 67% of the questions studied, male candidates are more likely to get the questions right than female candidates. Another observed result is that the questions that have greater chances of correct answers for male candidates are issues where the contextualization takes place from situations considered to be of the male universe. In addition to the data presented, we seek to reflect on the formative possibilities of returning this information to school communities.
