Abstract: Objective: To analyze, based on the literature, the interrelation between quality, auditing, and patient safety in the context of healthcare. Method: Integrative literature review conducted in December 2023, using the PubMed, CINAHL, Scopus, LILACS, BDEnf, and SciELO databases. The five selected studies were organized and analyzed using Microsoft Excel®. Results: The results highlight that errors, failures, and adverse events occurring in patients admitted to hospital units can have severe consequences, even leading to death. Conclusion: This study reinforces the ongoing need for investments in safety protocols, training, and improvements, solidifying the view that excellence in healthcare is a dynamic and uninterrupted commitment.
