FUNÇÕES DE UM ENGENHEIRO AGRÔNOMO EM UMA EMPRESA MULTINACIONAL DE MELHORAMENTO GENÉTICO DE MILHO
Buscou-se através deste presente trabalho, analisar as diferentes funções de um Engenheiro Agrônomo em uma empresa multinacional de melhoramento genético de milho. Formulou-se perguntas que compuseram um questionário, realizado através da ferramenta Microsoft Forms e que posteriormente foram enviadas aos colaboradores da Corteva Agriscience, empresa multinacional do ramo agrícola, com sede da pesquisa, situada na cidade de Coxilha – RS. Verificou-se a partir das respostas dos funcionários, que a área de pesquisa e desenvolvimento é muito competitiva e seletiva, desta forma, quem pretende adentrar neste nicho de mercado, deve ser curioso, estar atendo a oportunidades de estágio e empregos temporários, ler livros e artigos relacionados a área de melhoramento genético e procurar aprender um segundo idioma. A partir dessas informações, concluímos que a área de melhoramento genético, requer uma incessante procura por novos conhecimentos e grande qualificação técnica. O trabalho em grupo foi discutido pelos entrevistados em algumas questões, pois segundo eles é fundamental realizar um trabalho de maneira colaborativa, ou seja, todos juntos com o intuito de atingir um único objetivo. Outro ponto fundamental, exposto pelos entrevistados, foi a obrigatoriedade de uma segunda língua, mais precisamente o inglês, visto que a maioria das empresas de melhoramento genético de milho, soja, trigo, dentre outras culturas, são multinacionais ou tem ligações com o exterior, sendo necessária então, a troca de conversações com pessoas de diversas partes do mundo.

Abstract:
It was sought through this present work, to analyze the different functions of an agronomist engineer in a multinational corn breeding company. Questions were formulated that comprised a questionnaire, carried out using the Microsoft forms tool and which were later sent to employees of Corteva Agriscience, a multinational agricultural company, with headquarters for the research, located in the city of Coxilha - RS. It was found from the responses of the employees, that the research and development area is very competitive and selective, therefore, anyone who intends to enter this niche market, must be curious, be attending to internship opportunities and temporary jobs, read books and articles related to the area of genetic improvement and to try to learn a second language. Group work was discussed by the interviewees on some issues, because according to them it is essential to carry out work in a collaborative way, that is, all together with the aim of achieving a single objective. Another fundamental point, exposed by the interviewees, was the requirement of a second language, more precisely English, since the majority of companies for the genetic improvement of corn, soybeans, wheat, among other cultures, are multinational or have connections with the outside, therefore, it is necessary to exchange conversations with people from different parts of the world. -
