• Abstract:

  The bee fauna of an urban forest fragment of mixed Ombrophilous Forest was inventoried in the Parque Municipal das Araucárias, municipality of Guarapuava, PR. Four collections were carried out between October 2018 and April 2019, with entomological net directly on the flowers and a survey of the edge effect on the vegetation of that park was carried out. The identification was carried out in the Hydrology Laboratory, in the Department of Geography of the UNICENTRO campus Cedeteg and the indices were calculated using the PAST program (HAMMER, et al. 2001). 552 bees belonging to 8 species were sampled, distributed in five families of bees that occur in Brazil. As for the Rate (S), winter presented 6 species and 104 individuals; spring 8 species and 79 individuals; summer, with 267 individuals and autumn, with 102 individuals, 3 species. The phenological pattern presented by ORDEM HYMENOPTERA showed a reduction in activity in spring and autumn, with activity during almost the entire collection period, being affected by the cold months, with the exception of the species Apis mellifera, with wide annual distribution. The occurrences of social species are susceptible to variations in temperature, relative humidity and interspecific competition. The results show evidence of a seasonal pattern of bee activity and the importance of using complementary methodologies in conducting apifauna surveys.
