Apresenta o resultado do estudo

sobre a sinalização utilizada pela biblioteca

da Faculdade La Salle – Manaus/AM para

diagnosticar se o espaço informacional estaria

satisfazendo a comunidade acadêmica.

Estabelece um estudo acerca da biblioteca,

abordando seus aspectos conceituais,

históricos e funcionais e sobre o sistema de

sinalização adotado por ela, identificando se a

sinalização adotada pela biblioteca satisfazia

seus usuários. Optou pela abordagem

quantitativa, exploratória e descritiva, a partir

do estudo de caso. Conclui afirmando que a

biblioteca estudada, com o propósito de melhor

servir à sua comunidade acadêmica, necessita

implementar a sinalização existente.

Abstract:
Analyze its role in the academic

community, this research aimed to verify if the

existing signaling in the La Salle College`s

Library was satisfying its users. This objective

is a consequence of the need to understand

the signaling in information environments as an

important element in the visual communication

process used by the organization to better

achieve its objectives and goals. It is presented

a quantitative study, exploratory and descriptive

character, through the study case method. This

study shows the comparison between the point

of view of the users and the organization, with

respect to existing signaling in that area, leading

to the conclusion that visual communication

adopted by the library of the Faculty, in order to

better serve the academic community, needs to

implement the existent signaling.
