Abstract: Understanding the potential relationship between electronic cigarette use and human papillomavirus (HPV) infection is crucial amid the rising popularity of these devices. This literature review examines recent studies that have investigated this association. The findings highlight a significant link between electronic cigarette use and an increased risk of oral HPV infection, as well as the development of cellular anomalies in the oral mucosa. However, the analysis is limited by the scarcity of studies addressing this topic, underscoring the urgent need for further research. Awareness of the potential harms of electronic cigarette use is essential, as is the promotion of healthy habits to prevent infections and protect overall health. These findings underscore the importance of preventive approaches and effective public health policies to mitigate the risks associated with electronic cigarette use.
