EVIDÊNCIAS DA ACUPUNTURA NO TRATAMENTO DE DOR MUSCULOESQUELÉTICA: UMA REVISÃO DA LITERATURA
A acupuntura é uma modalidade terapêutica que envolve a inserção de agulhas metálicas finas, estéreis e descartáveis na superfície do corpo. É considerado seguro, com poucos efeitos colaterais, geralmente usada para o alívio de dor. A Dor musculoesquelética (DME) é reconhecida como consequência do esforço repetitivo e distúrbios relacionados ao trabalho. Ossos, articulações e músculos, se incluem na variedade de distúrbios relacionados a dor. OBJETIVO: avaliar a eficácia da acupuntura como tratamento para dor musculoesquelética. METODOLOGIA: Trata-se de um estudo de revisão da literatura, no qual serão utilizados artigos científicos encontrados nas bases eletrônicas Biblioteca Virtual em Saúde - BVS, Pedro, utilizando as palavras-chave: dor musculoesquelética, acupuntura. Como critérios de inclusão, foram selecionados artigos a partir do ano de 2016, artigos que abordem a utilização da acupuntura como tratamento para DME, ensaio clínico randomizado. E os critérios de exclusão serão artigos anteriores ao ano de 2016 e que não abordem o tema proposto. RESULTADOS: Na plataforma BVS ao colocar as palavras-chaves foram encontrados 71 artigos, após aplicar o recorte temporal restaram 34, selecionando ensaio clínico randomizado 15, texto completo 13 artigos, após breve leitura de título restaram 4 artigos. Ao total foram considerados 3 artigos elegíveis. Na plataforma Pedro ao colocar as palavras-chaves foram encontrados 1849 artigos, após aplicar o recorte temporal restaram 23, selecionando ensaio clínico randomizado 14, texto completo 10, após breve leitura de título restaram 4. Ao total foi considerado 1 artigo elegível. A terapia de acupuntura individual e em grupo administrada em ambientes de cuidados primários reduziu a dor crônica e melhorou a função física em 12 semanas. CONCLUSÃO: Ao analisar as contribuições da acupuntura no tratamento de DME se mostrou eficaz no tratamento de indivíduos com dor musculoesquelética, obtendo melhora na qualidade de vida, nas atividades diárias e no sono.

Abstract:
Acupuncture is a therapeutic modality that involves the insertion of thin, sterile and disposable metal needles on the body surface. It is considered safe, with few side effects, generally used for pain relief. Musculoskeletal pain (DME) is recognized as a consequence of repetitive strain and work-related disorders. Bones, joints and muscles are included in the variety of pain-related disorders. OBJECTIVE: to evaluate the effectiveness of acupuncture as a treatment for musculoskeletal pain. METHODOLOGY: This is a literature review study, in which scientific articles found in the electronic databases Virtual Health Library - BVS, Pedro will be used, using the keywords: musculoskeletal pain, acupuncture. As inclusion criteria, articles were selected from the year 2016, articles that address the use of acupuncture as a treatment for DME, a randomized clinical trial. And the exclusion criteria will be articles prior to the year 2016 and that do not address the proposed theme. RESULTS: 71 articles were found on the VHL platform, after placing the keywords, 34 remained after applying the time frame, 34 selected randomized clinical trial 15, full text 13 articles, after brief reading of the title 4 articles remained. In total, 3 eligible articles were considered. On the Pedro platform when placing the keywords, 1849 articles were found, after applying the time frame, 23 remained, selecting a randomized clinical trial 14, full text 10, after a brief reading of the title, 4 remained. In total, 1 eligible article was considered. Individual and group acupuncture therapy administered in primary care settings reduced chronic pain and improved physical function in 12 weeks. CONCLUSION: When analyzing the contributions of acupuncture in the treatment of DME, it proved to be effective in the treatment of individuals with musculoskeletal pain, obtaining an improvement in the quality of life, in daily activities and in sleep.
