ESTUDO SOBRE EDUCAÇÃO FINANCEIRA NO CURSO TÉCNICO EM AGROPECUÁRIA DO IFTO-CAMPUS DIANÓPOLIS
Devido à relevância do tema, este estudo tem como propósito levantar dados referentes à educação financeira dos estudantes do curso técnico em agropecuária integrado ao ensino médio do Instituto Federal de Educação, Ciência e Tecnologia do Tocantins (IFTO)-Campus Dianópolis e compreender com maior abrangência e profundidade como os discentes lidam com o tema. Para a coleta dos dados aplicou-se um questionário com 33 questões referentes aos objetivos do projeto. Colaboraram com a pesquisa 132 estudantes. A análise dos dados mostrou que 75% das famílias dos estudantes estão inseridas na classe social E, a qual compreende renda familiar entre R$500,00 e R$ 2000,00. Sobre orçamento doméstico, aproximadamente 1/3 das famílias realizam controle de gastos. De forma geral os estudantes não participam do planejamento financeiro familiar. Mais ainda, 31,82% dos estudantes não sabem diferenciar despesas de receitas, às vezes. Outro resultado observado, foi que uma parcela significativa dos entrevistados relatou não saber explicar bem conceitos básicos relacionados à educação financeira (taxas de juros, empréstimos, seguros, previdência). Por fim, o levantamento de dados evidencia que os estudantes não estão educados financeiramente e que medidas devem ser tomadas visando mitigar essa incômoda situação, visando estabelecer uma população mais consciente com as finanças, de forma que esses estudantes entrevistados despertem e transmitam a suas famílias a necessidade de educação financeira.

Abstract:
Due to the relevance of the theme, this study aims to collect data on the financial education of students in the technical course in agriculture integrated with high school at the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Tocantins (IFTO) -Campus Dianópolis and to understand it more widely and depth how students deal with the topic. For data collection, a questionnaire with 33 questions related to the project's objectives was applied. 132 students collaborated with the research. The analysis of the data showed that 75% of the students' families are included in social class E, which comprises family income between R $ 500.00 and R $ 2000.00. Regarding the domestic budget, approximately 1/3 of the families carry out expenditure control. In general, students do not participate in family financial planning. Furthermore, 31.82% of students are unable to differentiate expenses from income, sometimes. Another observed result was that a significant portion of the interviewees reported that they did not know how to explain basic concepts related to financial education (interest rates, loans, insurance, pension plans). Finally, the data survey shows that students are not financially educated and what measures should be taken to mitigate this uncomfortable situation, aiming to establish a more conscious population with finances, so that these interviewed students awaken and transmit to their families the need for financial education.
