ESTUDO PRELIMINAR PARA IMPLANTAÇÃO DE PROJETO MODELO DE ATERRO SANITÁRIO NO MUNICÍPIO, SANTARÉM-PA
Este projeto de pesquisa tem como propósito estudar e analisar alternativas para a implantação do novo aterro sanitário na cidade de Santarém e alternativas para a geração de energia a partir dos passivos ambientais dos resíduos do aterro. O Aterro sanitário é um sistema de descarte de resíduos sólidos que utiliza técnicas buscando minimizar os impactos que o lixo provoca na natureza, visto que, o lixo em decomposição gera o chorume que quando se encontra em solo com ausência de impermeabilização, pode entrar em contato direto com os lençóis freáticos causando a poluição do mesmo, bem como a geração de metano, gás carbônico e outros gases poluentes que intensificam o aquecimento global. E o alto grau de insalubridade presente no lixão põe em risco a saúde de quem está presente no local. Este processo de buscar novas alternativas para a destinação correta de resíduos é obrigação de todos os municípios e é importante para o desenvolvimento quando se utiliza a ferramenta de gestão.

Abstract:
This research project aims to study and analyze alternatives for the implementation of the new landfill in the city of Santarém and alternatives for the generation of energy from the environmental liabilities of the landfill waste. The landfill is a solid waste disposal system that uses techniques seeking to minimize the impacts that the garbage causes in nature, since the decomposing garbage generates the leachate that when it is in soil with no waterproofing, can contact directly with the water table causing its pollution, as well as the generation of methane, carbon dioxide and other polluting gases that intensify global warming. And the high degree of unhealthiness present in the dump puts the health of those present at risk. This process of seeking new alternatives for the correct disposal of waste is an obligation of all municipalities and is important for development when using the management tool.
