ESTUDO DO FORMANTE CROMÁTICO DO FILME “FRIDA”: UMA ANÁLISE SEMIÓTICA.
Este artigo mostra o resultado de um estudo realizado sobre o filme “Frida” (2002), o filme retrata a vida da famosa artista plástica Frida Kahlo e seus hábitos no início do século XX, assim, buscamos captar os efeitos de sentido criados na intersecção da história e do olhar da figurinista. A indústria cinematográfica há anos tem sido responsável por popularizar modismos e novos comportamentos ao longo de sua existência. Sua importância na formação dos gostos através de gerações é inequívoca e tem sido arduamente estudada. Muitos figurinos se tornaram icônicos e marcam a memória de muitos até hoje e, baseados nesta premissa analisaremos semioticamente o cromatismo idealizado por Julie Weiss no filme Frida (2002). A fim de embasar metodologicamente nossa pesquisa, faremos uso da Semiótica Discursiva de Algirdas Julien Greimas e seus colaboradores.

Abstract:
This article shows the result of a study carried out on the film “Frida” (2002). The film portrays the life of the famous plastic artist Frida Kahlo and her habits in the early twentieth century, thus, we sought to capture the effects of meaning from the intersection of the story and from the view of the costume designer. The film industry has been responsible for marketing fads and behaviors throughout its existence. Its significance on shaping tastes across generations is indubitable and has been thoroughly studied. Many costumes became iconic and filled the memory of many people, even nowadays. Based on this premise, we will semiotically examine the chromaticism idealized by Julie Weiss in the film Frida (2002). In order to methodologically support our research, we will use the Discursive Semiotics of Algirdas Julien Greimas and his collaborators.
