Abstract: In the construction environment, suspended particles can be seen in large quantities in the form of substances or mixtures. Dust is defined as small particles of solid matter, of varying origins, structures and compositions, while particulates are a set of pollutants made up of dust, smoke and all types of solid and liquid material that remain suspended in the atmosphere because of their small size, causing health problems. The most common way in which dust and particulates enter the body is through inhalation. This study aims to describe experimentally collected data on air quality in a construction environment to ensure an improvement in air quality and preservation of workers' health. The Air Quality® devices (JD-3002) and Air Sampling Pump will detect the presence of gases and particulates on a construction site in a gated community in the city of Uberaba-MG. Sometimes the environment has levels of CO2, temperature and particulates higher than those established by standards, which must be reduced. The identification and characterization of pollutants helps in the application of improvement actions to reduce them in construction site environments.
