ESTOQUE POPULACIONAL E VOLUMÉTRICO DE DUAS ESPÉCIES COMERCIAIS NA RESEX TAPAJÓS ARAPIUNS, ESTADO DO PARÁ
Objetivou-se analisar a estrutura
populacional e o estoque volumétrico de duas
espécies comercias, em uma área destinada
ao manejo madeireiro na Reserva Extrativista
Tapajós Arapiuns, no estado do Pará. Foi realizado um inventário amostral sistemático,
onde foram instaladas 202 parcelas e 606
subparcelas para amostragem das espécies
Mezilaurus itauba e Handroanthus sp., nas
quais foram registrados o nome regional;
circunferência a 1,30 m de altura (CAP); altura
comercial (hc) e qualidade de fuste (QF).
Analisou-se os parâmetros de densidade,
frequência, dominância, distribuição espacial,
diamétrica e volumétrica. A espécie Mezilaurus
itauba apresentou maior densidade, dominância
e frequência nas unidades de amostras. Para
as duas espécies foi observado o padrão de
distribuição aleatório, revelando que essas
precisam de técnicas de manejo que garantam
sua perpetuidade. A distribuição diamétrica
apenas de Mezilaurus itauba apresentou o
formato da curva exponencial negativa, que
confere eficiente desenvolvimento direcionado
aos diferentes estádios de estabelecimento. O
estoque de colheita das duas espécies registrou
o maior percentual de volume, em relação aos
estoques de crescimento e regeneração. As
espécies citadas somaram juntas um estoque
volumétrico que poderá ser passível de colheita,
sobretudo a espécie Mezilaurus itauba que foi
superior quanto a sua posição fitossociológica e
produção na floresta. A decisão de manejar estas
com enfoque madeireiro fica possivelmente
condicionada a uma análise de mercado que
leve em consideração os custos de exploração e o retorno financeiro.

Abstract:
The objective of this study was to analyze the population structure and the
volumetric stock of Mezilaurus itauba and Handroanthus sp., in a timber management
area in the Tapajós Arapiuns Extractivist Reserve, in the state of Pará. A systematic
sampling inventory was carried out, with the installation of 202 parcels, in which were
registered: regional name, circumference measured at 1.30 m height; commercial height
and stem quality. From the data the parameters of density, frequency, dominance, as
well as the spatial, diametric and volumetric distribution were analyzed. Mezilaurus
itauba presented higher density, dominance and frequency in the study area. For
the two species a random distribution pattern was found, revealing that they need
management techniques that guarantee their perpetuity. Mezilaurus itauba presented
a diametric distribution in the shape of negative exponential curve, which confers
efficient development directed to the different stages of establishment. The harvest
stock of the two species recorded the highest percentage of volume, in relation to the
stocks of growth and regeneration. The species added together volumetric stock that
could be harvestable, especially for the Mezilaurus itauba that was superior as regards
its phytosociological position and volumetry in the forest. The decision to manage these
species is conditioned by a market analysis that considers the costs of exploration and
the financial return.
