“ESTILOS DE APRENDIZAJE DE LOS ALUMNOS DE MÉTODOS NUMÉRICOS A NIVEL LICENCIATURA DE INGENIERÍA EN PUEBLA
Resumen — En este artículo se presentan los resultados de una investigación llevada a cabo para sustentar la Tesis de Doctorado en Educación en el Instituto de Estudios Universitarios, Plantel Puebla. Entre los objetivos del estudio está el caracterizar los estilos de aprendizaje de los alumnos de métodos numéricos en las escuelas de ingeniería en Puebla. Hasta el momento se ha aplicado el Inventario de estilos de aprendizaje propuesto por Felder y Soloman a un grupo piloto de diferentes carreras de Ingeniería en diversas Instituciones en Puebla. Estos resultados serán útiles para proponer estrategias constructivas de aprendizaje que complementen los estilos de aprendizaje. La materia de Métodos Numéricos se utiliza porque es una materia que integra conocimientos de Matemáticas (Cálculo, Álgebra y Ecuaciones) con destrezas de programación.

Abstract:
Abstract — This paper presents the results of an investigation carried out to support the Doctoral Thesis in Education at the Instituto de Estudios Universitarios, Plantel Puebla in México. Among the objectives of the study is to characterize the learning styles of numerical methods students in engineering schools in Puebla. So far, the Learning Styles Inventory proposed by Felder and Soloman has been applied to a pilot group of different Engineering careers in various Institutions in Puebla. These results will be useful to propose constructive learning strategies that complement the learning styles. The subject of Numerical Methods is used because it is a subject that integrates knowledge of Mathematics (Calculus, Algebra and Equations) with programming skills.
