ESTÁGIO BÁSICO NO CURSO DE MEDICINA: APRESENTAÇÃO DA ROTINA LABORATORIAL DE PESQUISA PARA DISCENTES INTERESSADOS EM INICIAÇÃO CIENTÍFICA
Em 2015, o curso de Medicina da Universidade Federal de Jataí (UFJ) iniciou a oferta de estágio básico, para os discentes do segundo período interessados em projetos de pesquisa na área de morfologia. Os alunos interessados realizaram o estágio básico em Histopatologia no Laboratório de Pesquisas Médicas. A duração do estágio variou entre 16 e 20 semanas; e os alunos realizaram atividades práticas de microtomia, técnicas de colorações, montagem e análise das lâminas histológicas produzidas. Ao final do estágio, cada estagiário elaborou um relatório com as atividades desenvolvidas e teve a oportunidade de continuar frequentando o laboratório como aluno de iniciação científica, ou, procurar outras oportunidades oferecidas ao longo da graduação. A partir dessa iniciativa, hoje o estágio básico extrapolou o voluntariado e se tornou um estágio oferecido a alunos concluintes de outros cursos de graduação em saúde. O estágio básico foi uma experiência rica e vantajosa para todos os envolvidos.

Abstract:
In 2015, the Medicine course at the Federal University of Jataí (UFJ) started offering basic training for students of the second period interested in research projects in the area of morphology. Interested students performed basic training in Histopathology at the Medical Research Laboratory. The training period varied between 16 and 20 weeks; and students performed practical microtomy techniques, staining techniques, assembly and analysis of histological sections produced. At the end of the training, each trainee prepared a report with the activities developed and had the opportunity to continue attending the laboratory as member in research projects, or, look for other opportunities throughout the undergraduate course. From that initiative, today basic training went beyond volunteering and became an internship offered to graduates of other undergraduate health courses. Basic training was a rich and beneficial experience for everyone involved.
