ESCALADA DA SOJA GM E DO GLIFOSATO, NO BRASIL, ENTRE 2011 E 2018
A soja geneticamente modificada (GM), tolerante ao herbicida glifosato (GM/RR), possui relevância econômica a nível mundial, tendo seu pacote biotecnológico atrelado ao consumo de glifosato, o qual desde o início de sua comercialização vem sendo alvo de inúmeros questionamentos quanto aos efeitos de sua utilização. Objetiva-se descrever a amplitude da evolução das vendas do glifosato e o crescimento do cultivo e rendimento da soja transgênica no período de 2011 a 2018, nos principais estados sojicultores do Brasil. Os dados foram coletados Instituto Brasileiro do Meio Ambiente e dos Recursos Renováveis (Ibama e dados da Produção Agrícola Municipal (PAM), do Sistema IBGE de Recuperação Automática do Instituto Brasileiro de Geografia e Estatística (IBGE-SIDRA) e tratados em planilha do Excel, para elaboração de tabelas e gráficos. Os resultados evidenciaram que a área plantada de soja biotecnológica se expandiu intensamente desde a sua adoção na agricultura contemporânea, destacando-se entre as demais culturas biotecnológicas cultivadas no Brasil e o glifosato consolidou sua comercializado com um aumento de 45% nos últimos 8 anos, aproximando-se de 1,5 bilhão de toneladas, correspondendo a 50% do total de agrotóxicos comercializados no País.

Abstract:
The genetically modified (GM) soybean, tolerant to the herbicide glyphosate (GM / RR), has economic relevance worldwide, with its biotechnological package linked to the consumption of glyphosate, which since the beginning of its commercialization has been the target of numerous questions regarding the effects of its use. The objective is to describe the amplitude of the evolution of glyphosate sales and the growth of the cultivation and yield of transgenic soybeans in the period from 2011 to 2018, in the main soybean states in Brazil. The data were collected from the Brazilian Institute of the Environment and Renewable Resources (Ibama and data from Municipal Agricultural Production (PAM), from the IBGE Automatic Recovery System of the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE-SIDRA) and treated in an Excel spreadsheet, for the preparation of tables and graphs, the results showed that the biotechnological soy planted area has expanded intensively since its adoption in contemporary agriculture, standing out among the other biotechnological crops grown in Brazil and glyphosate consolidated its commercialization with an increase of 45 % in the last 8 years, approaching 1.5 billion tons, corresponding to 50% of the total of pesticides sold in the country.
