ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION FOR HUMAN HEALTH
As questões relacionadas ao ambiente evoluíram do pensamento de que a natureza é uma fonte infindável de recursos naturais até o reconhecimento de que a humanidade deveria mudar sua relação com o ambiente. A partir da necessidade de se reverter a degradação do meio ambiente, surge a Educação Ambiental como um meio de formar cidadãos com um novo pensamento moral e ético e, consequentemente, uma nova postura em relação às questões ambientais. Neste trabalho foi realizado um estudo de natureza qualitativa, constituída de revisão bibliográfica da literatura, com o objetivo de fazer um apanhado da bibliografia disponível acerca da temática da educação ambiental e suas vertentes com a saúde humana. Diante desse contexto, conclui- se que a educação ambiental tem se se tornando foco de interesse da população por contribuir no processo de transformação da sociedade atual em uma sociedade sustentável. É imprescindível que essa educação se torne como ponto de partida para as mudanças necessárias para comunidade. É importante que a relação educação ambiental e saúde tenha caráter permanente e de compromisso socioambiental, contribuindo para a melhoria da qualidade de vida, promoção de saúde e sustentabilidade.

Abstract:
Environmental issues have evolved from the thought that nature is an endless source of natural resources until the recognition that humanity should change its relationship with the environment. From the need to reverse the degradation of the environment, Environmental Education emerges as a way to educate citizens with a new moral and ethical thinking and, consequently, a new attitude towards environmental issues. In this work, a qualitative study was carried out, constituting a bibliographical review of the literature, aiming to make a bibliography available on the theme of environmental education and its aspects with human health. Given this context, it is concluded that environmental education has become a focus of interest of the population to contribute to the process of transforming current society into a sustainable society. It is imperative that this education becomes the starting point for the changes needed for community. It is important that the relationship between environmental education and health is permanent and of socio-environmental commitment, contributing to the improvement of quality of life, health promotion and sustainability.
