Abstract: This article analyzes Lygia Fagundes Telles's book, As Meninas, focusing on the discourses of resistance that emerge from female voices in a context marked by an authoritarian regime. The theoretical framework is based on Discourse Analysis, with particular attention to the production of meaning and the construction of the discursive ethos of the characters, considering the power relations, silence, and subversion to which they are subjected. The methodology adopted is qualitative and interpretative, centered on the analysis of the discourses of the characters Ana Clara, Lia, and Lorena, identifying how they construct meanings that challenge and confront social, political, and gender norms. The results indicate that, between the imposed silencing and the subversive gestures of language, the characters mobilize discursive strategies of confrontation and rupture, contributing to the destabilization of hegemonic discourses.
