ENFRENTAMENTO DE AFECÇÕES RESPIRATÓRIAS POR VÍRUS EMERGENTES
Doenças emergentes são descritas como significativas para a saúde pública por seu potencial de impacto sobre o ser humano, suas repercussões sociais incluem desde o pânico social, até a resistência às drogas. A atuação da saúde pública, na figura da vigilância epidemiológica e outras vigilâncias, entendem a necessidade e a dificuldade de controle de uma determinada patologia, principalmente quando se trata de um patógeno desconhecido no mundo científico. Objetivou-se identificar o papel da enfermagem na prevenção de infecções pelo novo Corona vírus: COVID-19. Trata-se de uma pesquisa qualitativa, com manejo descritivo, de cunho bibliográfico integrativo, com o objetivo de explanar a importância do profissional de enfermagem em situações de prevenção para infecções respiratórias por vírus emergentes, tendo como foco o novo Corona vírus (COVID-19). O enfermeiro frente a pandemia do COVID-19 deve tomar decisões clínicas centradas no PE, conhecendo os focos de atenção possibilitando assim um direcionamento que melhor represente a situação no contexto da comunidade e da família.

Abstract:
Emerging diseases are described as significant to public health because of their potential impact on humans, their social repercussions include from social panic, to drug resistance. The performance of public health, in the figure of epidemiological surveillance and other vigilances, understand the need and the difficulty of controlling a certain pathology, especially when dealing with a pathogen unknown in the scientific world. The objective was to identify the role of nursing in preventing infections by the new Corona virus: COVID-19. This is a qualitative research, with descriptive management, of an integrative bibliographic nature, with the objective of explaining the importance of the nursing professional in situations of prevention for respiratory infections by emerging viruses, focusing on the new Corona virus (COVID-19). The nurse in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic must make clinical decisions centered on the NP, knowing the focuses of attention, thus enabling a direction that best represents the situation in the context of the community and the family.
