Abstract: This article reflects on the power relations in schools between children and teachers. It is framed in the triad of childhood, education and pedagogy, addressing three key points: historical context of the scientific study of childhood, reflection on childhood-adult power relations from Foucault's perspective, and analysis of the material culture of the school and its anti-critical scholarship. The resistance of childhood to adultcentrism and guardianship complex is highlighted. It questions how power relations have changed in schools between adults and children, using examples of educational expressions and the criticism of a Uruguayan murga. Questions are raised about the fight against adultcentrism in educational practices and the preparation of the public school for the deconstruction of this approach.
