EFEITOS DA DRENAGEM LINFÁTICA MANUAL EM EDEMAS E LINFEDEMAS PÓS-MASTECTOMIA: REVISÃO SISTEMÁTICA DE LITERATURA
O edema e linfedema são recorrentes a complicações associadas a pós-mastectomia com esvaziamento axilar, sendo um quadro patológico crônico e progressivo, que se desenvolve a partir do desequilíbrio no sistema linfático. A drenagem linfática é uma técnica de massagem que estimula o organismo a drenar esse excesso de liquido até os linfonodos, sendo a terapia mais aplicada no tratamento de linfedema. Esse estudo teve como objetivo realizar uma revisão sistemática sobre os efeitos da drenagem linfática manual em linfedemas pós-mastectomia. Para elaboração da revisão foram elencados artigos publicados nos últimos dez anos a partir do uso dos descritores “Effects of manual lymphatic drainage AND breast cancer” e “Effects of manual lymphatic drainage AND cancer”, entre os anos 2000 e 2020. Concluiu-se que a realização da DLM no pós-operatório de mastectomia, é um tratamento eficaz na redução e prevenção do edema e linfedema

Abstract:
Edema and lymphedema are recurrent complications associated with post-mastectomy with axillary dissection, being a chronic and progressive pathological condition that develops from the imbalance in the lymphatic system. Lymphatic drainage is a massage technique that stimulates the body to drain this excess fluid to the lymph nodes, being the most applied therapy in the treatment of lymphedema. This study aimed to conduct a systematic review of the effects of manual lymphatic drainage on post-mastectomy lymphedema. For the preparation of the review, articles published in the last ten years were listed using the descriptors “Effects of manual lymphatic drainage AND breast cancer” and “Effects of manual lymphatic drainage AND cancer”, between the years 2000 and 2020. It was concluded that DLM in the post-operative period of mastectomy is an effective treatment in reducing and preventing edema and lymphedema.
