Abstract: This article was developed from a call for papers for the e-book of the Continuing Education Course for secretaries and technical teams of the Departments of Education within the scope of the Full-Time School Program (ETI) – Southeast Region. Its purpose is to present experiences related to Full-Time Education based on work initiated in the municipality of Atibaia/SP in 2021, which resulted in a guiding base document entitled “Full-Time Education in Atibaia/SP: Conceptions, Challenges, and Proposals – 2023.” Built collectively and validated by the municipal school network through a public consultation with the democratic participation of the entire school community, the document is currently being implemented to promote Full-Time Education as an educational concept. This article aims to share experiences in building, developing, and strengthening local policies to extend school hours and enhance the educational dimension of the school.
