EDUCAÇÃO INFANTIL & FORMAÇÃO DOCENTE: UM OLHAR SOBRE O GRUPO DE PESQUISA GEPEID NA FORMAÇÃO CONTINUADA DAS PROFESSORAS DE EDUCAÇÃO INFANTIL EM SÃO LUÍS-MA
O presente trabalho analisou o percurso do Grupo de Pesquisa GEPEID no
tocante ao processo de formação docente da Educação Infantil na Ilha do Maranhão.
Tal estudo vincula-se ao Grupo Pesquisa e Estudos, Educação Infância & Docência –
GEPEID alocado ao Núcleo de Educação e Infância da UFMA. Para dar
fundamentação a este escrito, pesquisadores da área como FREIRE (1996), TARDIF
(2002), entre outros foram revisitados. Foi realizado ainda, um apanhado dos
principais documentos que versam sobre a infância e o atendimento à criança
pequena, dentre eles: a Constituição Federal do Brasil (BRASIL, 1988), a Lei de
Diretrizes e Bases da Educação Nacional – LDBEN (BRASIL, 1996), os Referenciais
para a Formação de Professores (2002). Trata-se de uma investigação com enfoque
qualitativo, na forma de pesquisa de campo, que foi desenvolvida durante o período
de dezembro de 2015 a agosto de 2016. Utilizamos para a coleta de dados a
entrevista semiestruturada, com os membros do grupo. Como resultados
preliminares foram produzidos estudos, debates e seminários alusivos à temática do
projeto e os resultados das pesquisas foram apresentados em eventos locais, com a
participação de vários integrantes do grupo. Esperamos que o presente estudo possa
contribuir para o processo de formação continuada docente da Educação Infantil na
ilha do Maranhão.

Abstract:
The present work analyzed the GEPEID Research Group 's course on the
process of teacher education in Early Childhood Education in the Island of Maranhão.
This study is linked to the Group Research and Studies, Childhood Education &
Teaching - GEPEID allocated to the Nucleus of Education and Childhood of UFMA. In
order to give reasons for this paper, researchers in the area such as FREIRE (1996),
TARDIF (2002), among others were revisited. A collection of the main documents that
deal with childhood and the care of the young child was also made, among them: the
Federal Constitution of Brazil (BRASIL, 1988), the Law on Guidelines and Bases of
National Education - LDBEN (BRAZIL, 1996 ), the Teacher Training Guidelines (2002).
It is a research with a qualitative focus, in the form of field research, which was
developed during the period from December 2015 to August 2016. We used the data
to collect the semi-structured interview with the members of the group. Preliminary
results were produced studies, debates and seminars alluding to the theme of the
project and the results of the research were presented at local events, with the
participation of several members of the group. We hope that the present study can
contribute to the process of continuous teacher education in Early Childhood
Education in the island of Maranhão.
