Abstract: This scientific article discusses teacher training in the context of inclusive education, with an emphasis on pedagogical practices and the contemporary challenges faced by teachers in building equitable educational environments. The increasingly significant presence of students with special educational needs in regular schools reinforces the urgency of initial and continuing education that includes specific skills, inclusive attitudes, and mastery of adapted methodologies. From a critical approach, training strategies and pedagogical practices aimed at inclusion are analyzed, considering both the potentialities and limitations faced in daily school life. The study emphasizes the importance of raising educators' awareness of diversity, as well as developing a reflective stance in the face of barriers that compromise the teaching-learning process. The study also reflects on the emerging demands that require a redefinition of the teaching role and the consolidation of public policies that support truly inclusive and quality education. In this sense, the need for investment in continuing education policies, institutional support, and strengthening of the ethical and social commitment to inclusion is reinforced.
