Abstract: The inclusion of students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in the regular education system represents an important field of study within the perspective of inclusive education. This article proposes a critical analysis of the main challenges and possibilities associated with the implementation of this process, based on legal frameworks such as the Law of Guidelines and Bases of National Education (LDB) and the National Policy for Special Education from the Perspective of Inclusive Education. The research highlights recurring obstacles, such as insufficient training of education professionals, limited material and human resources, and institutional resistance to inclusion. It also discusses the importance of curricular adaptations, ongoing training, and the implementation of individualized pedagogical strategies, considering the specificities of students with ASD. It is concluded that the consolidation of inclusive practices depends on intersectoral actions, collective commitment, and effective and sustainable public policies.
