EDUCAÇÃO EM SAÚDE: DISCUTINDO MITOS E VERDADES RELACIONADOS AO CÂNCER NA ATENÇÃO PRIMÁRIA DE SAÚDE - RELATO DE EXPERIÊNCIA
A abordagem de temas relacionados ao câncer tem despertado maior interesse na sociedade, pois vem se tornando um grave problema de saúde pública. Além disso, a atenção básica de saúde desenvolve um papel importante na prevenção. Assim, o presente trabalho objetiva relatar a experiência e importância das intervenções de educação em saúde relacionadas ao câncer. Para tanto, desenvolveu-se dez ações educativas, em forma de palestras, nas salas de espera das Unidades Básicas de Saúde (UBS) do município de Belém-PA. Nas intervenções foram abordados os aspectos biológicos do câncer, fatores de riscos, sintomas, diagnósticos, tratamento e prevenção. Somando se a isto, produziu-se materiais didáticos como dois banners e um folheto informativo sobre aspectos relacionados ao câncer, seus fatores de riscos e sintomas, sendo distribuídos gratuitamente aos participantes da ação. O alcance foi de 232 ouvintes, usuários das UBS. Ao serem questionados sobre a temática, cerca de 60% dos participantes afirmaram existir fator genético relacionado ao câncer, e 50% responderam que o exame Papanicolau (PCCU) servia para investigar o câncer de colo uterino. Ademais, para 89,58% (n=129) a ação contribuiu na aquisição de novas informações sobre o tema. Conclui-se que através das palestras expositivas os participantes esclareceram conceitos errôneos, assim como obtiveram novas informações relacionados ao câncer.

Abstract:
The approach to topics related to cancer has aroused greater interest in society, because it has become a serious public health problem. In addition, primary health care develops an important role in preventing. Thus, this objective work reports the experience and the importance of health education practices related to cancer. Therefore, developed ten educational actions, in the form of lectures, in the waiting rooms of the Basic Health Units (BHU) in the city of Belém-PA. The interventions approached the biological aspects of cancer, risk factors, symptoms, diagnosis, treatment and prevention. Adding to this, didactic materials were produced, such as two banners and an information leaflet on aspects related to cancer, its risk factors and symptoms, with free distribution to the participants of the action. The reach was 232 listeners, users of BHU. When asked about the theme, about 60% of participants stated the existence of a genetic factor related to cancer and 50% responded that the Pap smear was used to investigate cervical cancer. Furthermore, for 89.58% (n = 129) the action contributed to the acquisition of new information about the subject. It was concluded that through lectures, the participants clarified erroneous concepts, as well as obtaining new information related to cancer.
