EDUCAÇÃO ASSISTIDA POR ANIMAIS: UMA REVISÃO DE LITERATURA
O presente artigo tem por escopo apresentar uma análise da produção científica de pesquisas a respeito dos benefícios da Educação Assistida por Animais (EAA). Como metodologia, utilizou-se a pesquisa bibliográfica nos portais de Periódicos da Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior (Capes), Google Scholar e Portal Scielo (Scientific Electronic Library Online) de acordo com critérios estabelecidos utilizando-se os descritores Educação Assistida por Animais, Animal Assisted Education e Animal Assisted Therapy, entre aspas com os filtros Animal Assisted Education, periódicos revisados por pares e sem recorte temporal. Após a aplicação dos critérios de inclusão e exclusão, 17 artigos foram analisados. A análise qualitativa das pesquisas permitiu identificar benefícios da EAA em nível psicológico e cognitivos nas crianças envolvidas nos estudos, apesar de evidenciar diferenças nas temáticas, na metodologia e no referencial teórico que balizavam as pesquisas. Ademais, o estudo possibilita inferir que vem aumentando o número de pesquisas acerca do tema ao longo dos anos, mas existe relativa escassez de pesquisas científicas sobre o tema no Brasil, sendo necessário maior reconhecimento e investimento em pesquisas no campo da educação.

Abstract:
The purpose of this article is to present an analysis of the scientific production of research regarding the benefits of Animal Assisted Education (AAE). As a methodology, bibliographic research was used in the journals portals of the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (Capes), Google Scholar and Portal Scielo (Scientific Electronic Library Online) according to criteria established using the descriptors Education Assisted by Animals, Animal Assisted Education and Animal Assisted Therapy, in quotes with the Animal Assisted Education filters, peer-reviewed journals and with no time frame. After applying the inclusion and exclusion criteria, 17 articles were analyzed. The qualitative analysis of the research, it was possible to identify the benefits of AAE at a psychological and cognitive level in the children involved in the studies, despite evidencing differences in the themes, methodology and theoretical framework that guided the research. In addition, the study makes it possible to infer that the number of researches on the subject has been increasing over the years, but there is a relative scarcity of scientific research on the subject in Brazil, requiring greater recognition and investment in research in the field of education.
