ECTASIA DA ARTÉRIA VERTEBRAL EM REGIÃO PRÉ VERTEBRAL: RELATO DE CASO
A artéria vertebral tem origem na
primeira porção da artéria subclávia. Ambas,
direita e esquerda, unem-se para formar a artéria
basilar, a qual tem participação no círculo arterial
do cérebro. A partir de dissecação de féretro
masculinono laboratório de anatomia humana
da Universidade Brasil de Fernandópolis, foi
constatada ectasia em região pré vertebral da
artéria vertebral esquerda. Posteriormente,
buscou-se por informações relacionados ao
assunto em livros didáticos, artigos em bases
de dados, como PubMed e BVS. A partir
disso, detectou-se a necessidade de métodos
de identificação, controle e prevenção das
consequências dessa assimetria, pois se
pode evitar eventos clínicos importantes como
microinfartos vertebrobasilares e eventos com
menor gravidade, como vertigem.

Abstract:
The vertebral artery originates in
the first portion of the subclavian artery. Both,
right and left, unite to form the basilar artery,
which has participation in the arterial circle of the
brain. From the dissection of a male coffin in the
human anatomy laboratory of the Universidade
Brasil, from Fernandópolis, pathologic dilatation
was found in the prevertebral region of the left
vertebral artery. Subsequently, we searched for
information related to the subject in textbooks, articles in databases, such as PubMed
and BVS. From this it was detected the need for methods of identification, control and
prevention of the consequences of this asymmetry, since it can avoid dangerous clinical
events such as vertebrobasilar microinfarction and less risky events, such as vertigo.
