Abstract: In Brazil, school violence has significantly increased over the past decades, which has posed challenges to education professionals and the entire school community. In this context, Restorative Justice is seen as a possibility for creating a safe school environment, based on the practice of respect, dignity, and mutual care. In this sense, the main objective of this article is to analyze the possibility of implementing Restorative Justice in the school environment of the participants who joined the doctoral research of this researcher, entitled The Feasibility of Implementing Restorative Justice in Public Schools in the Metropolitan Region of Belém, currently underway with the Graduate Program in Education in the Amazon (PGEDA) at the Federal University of Pará (UFPA). The specific objectives of the study are to identify the knowledge that participants of the collaborative research have about Restorative Justice; define the training needs that participants have expressed regarding Restorative Justice in addressing school violence; and propose a training diagnosis that meets the participants' needs, directing the research towards the implementation of study and reflection cycles in the research training process. The methodology used has a qualitative approach, with a bibliographic nature, based on collaborative research, using focus groups, consultation of legislation, and official documents containing data on school violence for data collection. The research results suggest that schools already apply restorative practices empirically, but there is a need to enhance knowledge, as well as develop skills and attitudes for the implementation of Restorative Justice in the school environment.
