DIVERGING DIAMOND INTERCHANGE – DDI – COMO ALTERNATIVA PARA A REDUÇÃO DE CONFLITOS DE TRÁFEGO EM INTERSEÇÕES EM DESNÍVEL
Este trabalho tem por objetivo apresentar a Diverging Diamond Interchange - DDI como alternativa para a redução de conflitos de tráfego em interseções semaforizadas em desnível. Para tanto, são apresentados inicialmente os diversos tipos de interseções em nível e desnível. As características físicas e operacionais da DDI são descritas e analisadas comparativamente com outros tipos de interseções em desnível, destacando-se as suas vantagens em termos de custos e benefícios operacionais.

Abstract: This work aims to present Diverging Diamond Interchange - DDI as an alternative to reduce traffic conflicts at unlevel signalized intersections. For this, are initially presented the various types of intersections on level and unlevel. The physical and operational characteristics of DDI are described and analyzed in comparison with other types of unlevel intersections, highlighting its advantages in terms of cost and operational benefits.
