DISFAGIA E QUALIDADE DE VIDA EM PACIENTES SOBREVIVENTES DE CÂNCER DE CABEÇA E PESCOÇO TRATADOS COM RADIOTERAPIA
O câncer de cabeça e pescoço está associado a toxicidades na cavidade oral, de caráter agudo e tardio, podendo impactar na qualidade de vida (QV) dos pacientes. O objetivo deste estudo foi revisar a literatura existente a respeito da disfagia e seu impacto na qualidade de vida em indivíduos que foram irradiados em cabeça e pescoço. As buscas foram realizadas no PubMed/ MEDLINE, Cochrane - CENTRAL, EMBASE, LILACS/BIREME sobre o tema “Disfagia e qualidade de vida em pacientes irradiados em cabeça e pescoço”. As seguintes palavras-chave foram utilizadas: ‘’Câncer de cabeça e pescoço’’, ‘’Radioterapia’’, ‘’Disfagia’’, ‘’Qualidade de vida’’ e ‘’Deglutição’’. As pesquisas foram realizadas até janeiro de 2020. A disfagia pode impactar negativamente na QV dos pacientes com câncer de cabeça e pescoço. A alimentação e a deglutição são atividades diárias fundamentais que desempenham um papel cultural/psicossocial importante, além de refletirem diretamente na saúde do paciente. Portanto, ressalta-se a importância de uma conduta interdisciplinar que permita o cuidado integral do paciente que está ou esteve em tratamento oncológico.

Abstract:
Head and neck cancer is associated with oral cavity toxicities, acute and late toxicities, which may have an impact on the patients' quality of life (QoL). The aim of this study was to review the existing literature regarding the dysphagia-related quality of life in irradiated individuals in head and neck. Searches were conducted at PubMed/MEDLINE, Cochrane - CENTRAL, EMBASE, LILACS/BIREME about “Dysphagia-related quality of life in irradiated patients of head and neck”. The following keywords were used: “Head and neck cancer”, “Radiotherapy”, “Dysphagia”, “Quality of life” and “Deglutition”. The surveys included studies published up to January 2020. Dysphagia can negatively impact QoL of patients with head and neck cancer. Eating and swallowing are fundamental daily activities that play an important cultural/psychosocial role, in addition it affect directly patient's health. Therefore, the importance of an interdisciplinary approach that allows comprehensive care for patients who are or have been undergoing cancer treatment is emphasized.
