DIAGNÓSTICO SITUACIONAL PARA LA GENERACIÓN DE UN SISTEMA DE INFORMACIÓN EN EL SECTOR ARTESANAL DE LA PARROQUIA LA VICTORIA, CANTÓN PUJILÍ, PROVINCIA DE COTOPAXI, ECUADOR
Al estudiar el sector artesanal se deben considerar varias características que lo conforman, la más importante y que da su nombre es el de “arte con las manos”, este diagnóstico muestra como este sector no se encuentra alejado de las circunstancias adversas que vive el mundo desde el año 2020 por la pandemia de la COVID-19, ha sido un periodo difícil para este sector, en donde se encuentran muchos de los llamados “emprendedores”. La investigación tuvo como propósito determinar la situación contable que hasta el año 2021 mantenía el sector de artesanos productores de teja, que viven en la parroquia La Victoria, cantón Pujilí, provincia de Cotopaxi, Ecuador. La metodología usada fue de enfoque cualitativo, de revisión bibliográfica y documental, se aplicó la técnica de entrevista a 4 artesanos del sector y al Presidente de la Junta de Defensa Provincial del Artesano de Cotopaxi (JPDAC). Uno de los principales hallazgos fue que a pesar de que este sector artesanal es de los más conocidos y representativos a nivel provincial, apenas representa el 2,16% dentro del total de afiliados a la JPDAC, situación que se ha dado por desconocimiento de las ventajas y beneficios que puede tener su afiliación a este organismo, así también la poca o nula importancia que se da al registro contable de sus procesos de producción, por considerarlo innecesario y una pérdida de tiempo. Una de las conclusiones es que se necesita una educación contable dirigida a este sector, así como un sistema informático que facilite el proceso de registro diario de costos para cuantificar el costo total unitario y los márgenes de ganancia o pérdida en los precios finales del producto teja.

Abstract:
When studying the artisan sector, several characteristics that make it up must be considered, the most important and which gives its name is "art with hands", this diagnosis shows how this sector is not far from the adverse circumstances that the world is experiencing. Since 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it has been a difficult period for this sector, where many of the so-called "entrepreneurs" are found. The purpose of the investigation was to determine the accounting situation that until the year 2021 maintained the sector of tile-producing artisans, who live in the La Victoria parish, Pujilí canton, Cotopaxi province, Ecuador. The methodology used was a qualitative approach, bibliographic and documentary review, the interview technique was applied to 4 artisans from the sector and the President of the Cotopaxi Artisan Provincial Defense Board (JPDAC). One of the main findings was that despite the fact that this craft sector is one of the best known and most representative at the provincial level, it barely represents 2.16% of the total number of members of the JPDAC, a situation that has occurred due to ignorance of the advantages and benefits that their affiliation to this organization can have, as well as the little or no importance given to the accounting record of their production processes, considering it unnecessary and a waste of time. One of the conclusions is that an accounting education aimed at this sector is needed, as well as a computer system that facilitates the process of daily registration of costs to quantify the total unit cost and the profit or loss margins in the final prices of the tile product.
