DESBRIDAMENTO BIOLÓGICO: O USO DA TERAPIA LARVAL EM FERIDAS COMPLEXAS
Objetivo: Analisar por meio das produções científicas a eficiência da terapia larval no tratamento das feridas complexas. Método: Trata-se de revisão integrativa de literatura, de característica crítica e retrospectiva, com fontes de dados primários completos, publicados entre 2016 a 2021, em português, inglês e espanhol, na Biblioteca Virtual de Saúde nas seguintes bases: MEDLINE, LILACS, BDENF e na SciELO. Utilizou-se os descritores identificados através do DECs, sendo eles: lesão por pressão; desbridamento; ferimentos e lesões; terapêutica e larva pelo operador booleano “and” e “or” e o Google Acadêmico. Resultados: Foram selecionados 14 artigos para a realização do estudo dos quais podem ser categorizados em três categoria temáticas: A Larvaterapia utilizada em outros países/Brasil; Desconhecimento da técnica da Larvaterapia pelos profissionais de saúde e população brasileira, e A eficácia da terapia larval em feridas complexas. Considerações finais: O uso da terapia larval em feridas complexas ainda é pouco utilizado por não ser muito conhecida dentre os profissionais de saúde e de seus pacientes. A técnica é muito utilizada em outros países por ser eficiente e de baixo custo.

Abstract:
Objective: To analyze, through scientific productions, the efficiency of larval therapy in the treatment of complex wounds. Method: This is an integrative literature review, critical and retrospective, with complete primary data sources, published between 2016 and 2021, in Portuguese, English and Spanish, in the Virtual Health Library in the following databases: MEDLINE, LILACS, BDENF and SciELO. The descriptors identified through the DECs were used, namely: pressure injury; debridement; injuries and injuries; therapeutic and larva by the Boolean operator “and” and “or” and Google Scholar. Results: 14 articles were selected for the study, which can be categorized into three thematic categories: Larvatherapy used in other countries/Brazil; Lack of knowledge of the larvatherapy technique by health professionals and the brazilian population, and The effectiveness of larval therapy in complex wounds. Final considerations: The use of larval therapy in complex wounds is still little used as it is not well known among health professionals and their patients. The technique is widely used in other countries for being efficient and low cost.
