Abstract: The present work studies the advantages that the Four Wheel Steering system brings to the single-seater of the Formula SAE UNIMET group, for better performance in the dynamic tests of the Formula SAE competition carried out in Michigan. The objective of the work was to investigate in depth the Four Wheel Steering system to establish its reliability, as well as to simulate, through software, the operation of said system when adapted to the suspension system of the car. The idea for the future is to carry out performance tests before and after the installation of the Four Wheel Steering system and in this way be able to compare the performance of the car in both situations. Although the four-wheel steering system usually requires a total change in the rear part of the suspension system, it was decided to adapt it to the current suspension system, which reduces costs and weight in the car. Once the exact positions of each steering component on the four wheels were defined, it was verified that the adaptation to the suspension system does not impair its operation.
