Abstract: The presentation of new methodologies in teacher training becomes a path to meaningful learning that allows reflection on practice. The Activar Course, offered by the University of São Paulo in partnership with the Iungo Institute, presents an innovative approach to education and continuing training for education professionals, focusing on pedagogical practices, using WhatsApp as the main tool. Lasting 8 academic weeks, the course proposes that participants dedicate 15 to 20 minutes a day to individual studies and reflections, in addition to participating in weekly synchronous meetings, led by tutors linked to the University of São Paulo. Active methodologies, such as problem- and project-based learning, design thinking and collaborative work, are fundamental to the course. Course participants are challenged to develop a lesson plan, individually, through the Lesson Planner Platform and prepare a technical product as a group, placing them at the center of the training, taking the course participant to the leading role and promoting an active role in their learning. The course proposal highlights whether the connection between training activities and the participants' professional reality is a crucial point. The course seeks to integrate the knowledge acquired into the daily practices of educators, encouraging reflection on relationships in the school environment and pedagogical practices. Despite the proposal to dedicate only 15 minutes a day, through the WhatsApp application, the experience reveals significant challenges in maintaining the daily commitment, especially due to the need to prepare work plans, individual classes and group technical products in the short term. In short, the Ativar Course provides an educational experience focused on senior protagonism and professional engagement, encouraging reflection, review of educational practices, collaborative work and ways of working in the school environment.
