CULTURA POMERANA E OS PROFISSIONAIS DE SAÚDE: VENCENDO BARREIRAS E CONSTRUINDO PONTES
A cultura é um campo vasto, de várias definições, e trata não só de crenças e valores mas também dos hábitos de vida das pessoas. Os pomeranos e seus descendentes possuem traços culturais muito particulares, e por sua característica mais reservada e isolada geograficamente, mantém tradições através dos séculos. O objetivo desse trabalho é elucidar alguns aspectos da cultura pomerana, fomentando discussões acerca da assistência dos profissionais de saúde a esses cidadãos. Conhecer as peculiaridades dessa cultura, respeitando seu valor e espaço e trabalhando para a perpetuação da mesma são passos importantes para a integração dos profissionais de saúde com o povo pomerano, e consequente melhoria no atendimento por eles prestado.

Abstract:
Culture is a vast field, with various definitions, and it deals not only with beliefs and values but also with people's life habits. The Pomeranians and their descendants have very particular cultural traits, and due to their more reserved and geographically isolated characteristic, they maintain traditions through the centuries. The objective of this work is to elucidate some aspects of the Pomeranian culture, promoting discussions about the assistance of health professionals to these citizens. Knowing the peculiarities of this culture, respecting its value and space and working towards its perpetuation are important steps towards the integration of health professionals with the Pomeranian people, and consequent improvement in the care provided by them.
