CULTURA DE SEGURANÇA DO PACIENTE NO CONTEXTO HOSPITALAR: UMA REFLEXÃO TEÓRICA
Objetivo: Refletir acerca da importância da cultura de segurança do paciente no contexto hospitalar. Metodologia: Trata-se de um estudo reflexivo realizado no mês de janeiro de 2021 nas bases de dados: Literatura Latino-Americana e do Caribe em Ciências da Saúde (LILACS), Scidentific Eletrônic Library Online (SCIELO) e National Library of Medicine (MEDLINE). Foram utilizados os descritores: segurança do paciente, qualidade da assistência à saúde e assistência hospitalar. Resultados: Evidenciou-se com o estudo que a segurança do paciente é um assunto que está em ascensão, demonstrando a importância de se abordar mais sobre o tema, levando-se em conta a sua relevância. Assim, considerando as principais reflexões levantadas, é possível inferir que há a necessidade de tornar a segurança do paciente nas instituições hospitalares, um processo cultural, a fim de favorecer uma maior consciência de cada profissional da equipe multiprofissional que atua nas unidades de saúde. Conclusão: Acredita-se que este estudo poderá subsidiar possíveis discussões entre gestores e profissionais da saúde com o objetivo de apontar as necessidades e limitações para a implementação da cultura de segurança no âmbito das instituições de saúde.

Abstract:
Objective: To reflect on the importance of the patient safety culture in the hospital context. Methodology: This is a reflective study carried out in January 2021 in the databases: Latin American and Caribbean Literature in Health Sciences (LILACS), Scidentific Electronic Library Online (SCIELO) and National Library of Medicine (MEDLINE). The descriptors were used: patient safety, quality of health care and hospital care. Results: It was evident from the study that patient safety is a subject that is on the rise, demonstrating the importance of addressing more about the topic, taking into account its relevance. Thus, considering the main reflections raised, it is possible to infer that there is a need to make patient safety in hospital institutions, a cultural process, in order to favor greater awareness of each professional of the multiprofessional team that works in health units. Conclusion: It is believed that this study may support possible discussions between managers and health professionals in order to point out the needs and limitations for the implementation of the safety culture within the scope of health institutions.
