CUIDADOS DE ENFERMAGEM NA MANIPULAÇÃO DO CATETER VENOSO CENTRAL: INFECÇÕES NA CORRENTE SANGUÍNEA DE PACIENTES CRÍTICOS
O estudo buscou demonstrar como a área da enfermagem pode promover a prevenção e o controle de infecções na corrente sanguínea por cateter venoso central com eficiência e segurança. O objetivo foi descrever os achados na literatura cientifica sobre os cuidados da enfermagem na manipulação do CVC, e a prevenção de infecções primárias na corrente sanguínea. É uma revisão bibliográfica do tipo integrativa, através de critérios de inclusão foi pacientes críticos com infecções na corrente sanguínea por CVC e exclusão foi pacientes com infecções por vírus. Para seleção dos artigos foram utilizados os seguintes bancos de dados LILACS, BVS e SCIELO. Foram encontrados 16 artigos e nestes falam sobre CVC, e medidas adotadas de antissepsia da pele, higienização prévia das mãos e treinamento dos professionais de saúde. A atuação do profissional enfermeiro torna-se indispensável no monitoramento contínuo do paciente sob sua assistência, promovendo a prevenção de infecções de corrente sanguínea e prestação de cuidados resolutivos e eficientes.

Abstract:
The study sought to demonstrate how the nursing area can promote the prevention and control of infections in the bloodstream by central venous catheter efficiently and safely. The objective was to describe the findings in the scientific literature on nursing care in handling CVC, and the prevention of primary infections in the bloodstream. It is a bibliographic review of the integrative type, through inclusion criteria were critical patients with CVC bloodstream infections and exclusion was patients with virus infections. For the selection of articles, the following LILACS, BVS and SCIELO databases were used. 16 articles were found and these talk about CVC, and measures adopted for skin antisepsis, prior hand hygiene and training of health professionals. The role of the professional nurse becomes indispensable in the continuous monitoring of the patient under his care, promoting the prevention of bloodstream infections and providing resolutive and efficient care.
