CRESCIMENTO URBANO NAS ÁREAS DE PRESERVAÇÃO PERMANENTE (APPS): UM ESTUDO DE CASO DA MARGEM DO RIO ITACAIÚNAS NO NÚCLEO CIDADE NOVA, MARABÁ-PARÁ
Uma das grandes problemáticas ambientais e sociais das cidades brasileiras é o crescimento desordenado sem nenhum tipo de planejamento de uso e ocupação do solo. Em virtude disso, o presente artigo tem como objetivo avaliar o crescimento urbano nas áreas de preservação permanente no Núcleo Cidade Nova, na cidade de Marabá-PA, na qual foram utilizadas ferramentas de geoprocessamento para classificação supervisionada no Núcleo Cidade Nova e para os Bairros, com a finalidade de obter dados quali-quantitativos das margens do rio Itacaiúnas, com dimensões previstas no novo Código Florestal Brasileiro, produzindo mapas temáticos para avaliação. Foram identificados avanço populacional acelerado em APP’s, apresentando no Núcleo Cidade Nova um acréscimo de 28,23% de urbanização do ano de 1990 a 2015 e o bairro Bela Vista em destaque com percentual de 66%. Conclui-se como principal medida mitigadora, a inserção de políticas públicas efetiva sobre o uso e ocupação do solo, bem como a revisão do Plano Diretor Participativo de Marabá.

Abstract:
One of the great environmental and social problems of Brazilian cities is the disorderly growth without any kind of land use and land use planning. As a result, this article aims to evaluate urban growth in the permanent preservation areas in the Cidade Nova Nucleus, in the city of Marabá-PA, in which geoprocessing tools were used for supervised classification in the Cidade Nova Nucleus and for the Districts, With the purpose of obtaining qualitative and quantitative data of the Itacaiúnas river banks, with dimensions foreseen in the new Brazilian Forest Code, producing thematic maps for evaluation. Accelerated population growth in APPs was identified, with an increase of 28.23% in urbanization from 1990 to 2015 and the Bela Vista neighborhood with a 66% increase. The main mitigating measure is the inclusion of effective public policies on land use and occupation, as well as the review of the Participatory Master Plan of Marabá.
