CRECIMIENTO Y CONDICIÓN DEL MONCHOLO Hoplias malabaricus EN LA CIÉNAGA GRANDE DE LORICA, COLOMBIA
Para evaluar el crecimiento y condición del Moncholo Hoplias malabaricus (BLOCH, 1794) en la ciénaga Grande de Lorica, cuenca del río Sinú, Colombia, se recolectaron 5383 individuos en el período comprendido por los años 2000, 2003, 2007, 2011 y 2018. La relación longitud-peso y el factor de condición se estimaron con WT =k LTb y k =WT/LTb, respectivamente. La talla fluctuó entre 17.9 y 46.2 (27.7 ± 3.5) cm de longitud total (LT), el peso total osciló entre 55.0 y 1304.0 (253.4 ± 100.1) gramos (g) y la talla media de captura fue estimada en 27.8 cm LT. La relación longitud-peso estimada para sexos combinados en el período 2000-2018 fue: WT =0.009 (± 0.03) LT 3.08 (± 0.02), r =0.96, n =5383, el factor de condición osciló entre 0.010 (2003 y 2007) y 0.015 (2011 y 2018), sin encontrarse diferencias estadísticas significativas entre ellos; mientras que el coeficiente de crecimiento fue alométrico positivo, fluctuando entre 2.89 (2018) y 3.04 (2003), sin diferencias estadísticas significativas entre ellos. Los resultados alcanzados indican que el Moncholo es un pez de mediano tamaño, con talla y peso medios de captura alternantes durante el período evaluado (2000-2018), en donde el año 2018 arroja las menores estimaciones, con estado de bienestar independiente del ciclo hidrológico de la ciénaga, estado que ha venido aumentando desde el 2003; lo que sugiere que la especie se ha adaptado a las nuevas condiciones de la ciénaga Grande de Lorica y del río Sinú.

Abstract:
To evaluate the growth and condition of the Moncholo Hoplias malabaricus (BLOCH, 1794) in the cienaga Grande de Lorica, Sinú river basin, Colombia, 5,383 individuals were collected in the period between 2000, 2003, 2007, 2011 and 2018. The length-weight relationship and condition factor were estimated with the equation TW = k TLb and k =TW/TLb, respectively. The size ranged between 17.9 y 46.2 (27.7 ± 3.5) cm total length (TL), the total weight between 55.0 y 1304.0 (253.4 ± 100.1) grams (g), and the mean length in the catch estimated was 27.8 cm TL. Length-weight relationship estimated for both sexes in the period 2000-2018 was TW =0.009 (± 0.03) LT 3.08 (± 0.02), r =0.96, n =5383, the condition factor ranged from 0.003 (2008 year) and 0.012 (2007 year), without statistically significant differences between them; while the growth coefficient was positive allometric, which ranged between 2.89 (2018) and 3.04 (2003), without statistically significant differences between them. The results obtained indicate that the Moncholo is a medium-sized fish, with alternating mean length and weight in the catch during the evaluated period (2000-2018), where 2018 year shows the lowest estimates, with a welfare state independent of the hydrological cycle from the ciénaga, a welfare state that has been increasing since 2003; which suggests that the species has adapted to the new conditions of the Ciénaga Grande de Lorica and the Sinú river.
