Abstract: Objective: Investigate the nurse's contribution to the care of patients with neoplastic wounds and analyze the knowledge gaps that exist among nurses in this context. Methods: This is an integrative review of the scientific literature, with articles published between 2017 and 2023. The guiding question was used: What are the effective contributions of nurses in the care of patients with neoplastic wounds and how do knowledge gaps among nurses influence this contribution? The databases used were: VHL, LILACS and SCIELO. The Health Sciences Descriptors (DeCS) were used, with the interpolation of the Boolean operator AND: “cancer” AND “nursing care” AND “neoplastic wounds”. Results: 13 relevant articles were found on the contribution of nurses to the care of patients with neoplastic wounds, providing valuable knowledge for interventions aimed at this population. In addition to highlighting the need for continuing education for nursing professionals. Conclusion: It is concluded that nurses are crucial in caring for patients with neoplastic wounds, emphasizing a holistic approach that covers not only the physical aspects, but also the emotional and psychosocial aspects. Continuing education is essential to train nursing professionals, ensuring updated and effective practices in the treatment of these patients.
