Abstract: This study investigates the potentials and challenges of adopting Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies in education through a literature review. The research identifies the main AI tools applicable to education, evaluates their impacts on the teaching-learning process, and suggests strategies for the responsible implementation of these technologies in pedagogical practices. Motivated by the increasing relevance of AI in various fields of knowledge, the investigation concludes that AI can significantly benefit the personalization of the student experience, support for teachers, and the development of specific skills. However, it is also emphasized the need to consider the ethical challenges and inherent limitations of current technologies when implementing them in educational institutions.
