CONTEXTUALIZAÇÃO DAS DISCIPLINAS MINISTRADAS EM INGLÊS DA PUCRS
A Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio Grande do Sul (PUCRS) é uma das maiores e mais importantes universidades do Brasil quanto à qualidade de seus cursos, pesquisas e investimentos a favor do aprendizado dos estudantes. Com a globalização, até uma Instituição de Ensino Superior precisa se adaptar ao ritmo que a informação e o conhecimento têm. Um ponto importante a se relevar é o status do inglês como idioma global, tornando sua fluência e prática um passo positivo em direção a internacionalização. O objetivo desta pesquisa foi explorar e contextualizar o processo de internacionalização da Universidade a partir das disciplinas ministradas em inglês. Entre março e abril de 2017, foram realizadas entrevistas com oito professores dessas disciplinas. Os resultados indicaram que, na percepção dos professores, mesmo essas disciplinas não sendo de total conhecimento dos alunos, a prática do idioma é o que os estudantes buscam e há seu interesse em cursá-las. Visto que essas disciplinas são compreendidas no tema Internacionalização em Casa, sugere-se para estudos posteriores uma maior discussão sobre a internacionalização e integração das universidades, tanto entre seus diversos departamentos quanto entre seus corpos discentes e docentes.

Abstract:
The Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul (PUCRS) is one of the largest and most important universities in Brazil as to the quality of its courses, researches and investments in student's learning. With globalization, even a Higher Education Institution needs to adapt to the pace that information and knowledge have. An important point to reveal is the status of English as a global language, making its fluency and practice a positive step towards internationalization. This research aimed to explore and contextualize the University's internationalization process based on the subjects taught in English. Between March and April 2017, interviews were conducted with eight professors from these classes. The results indicated that, in the professors' perception, even though these subjects not being fully acknowledged by the students, the practice of the language is what the students are looking for and there is their interest in studying them. Seeing that these disciplines are included in the topic Internationalization at Home, it is suggested for later studies a greater discussion about the internationalization and integration of the universities, both among its various department and amidst its student and faculty bodies.
