CONSTRUÇÕES ÀS MARGENS DO AÇUDE AYRES DE SOUSA E OS RISCOS QUE ELAS ACARRETAM PARA SEUS HABITANTES E PARA O PRÓPRIO AÇUDE.
O presente estudo tem por objetivo analisar as construções às margens do açude Ayres de Souza e a relação da população local com o reservatório, apontando os principais danos socioambientais, ocasionados principalmente pela falta de saneamento nessas residências, assim como em boa parte do distrito. Além disso, o estudo se baseia na percepção da população sobre esses problemas e tem como finalidade verificar a qualidade de vida e a qualidade da água de uma das principais fontes de abastecimento da região norte do Ceará. Além de pesquisas bibliográficas a respeito de casos semelhantes já ocorridos no Brasil, estudou-se o histórico de problemas socioambientais sofridos pelo distrito e os impactos dos problemas na qualidade de vida do açude. Ademais, fez-se necessário ainda uma pesquisa online, através de um formulário eletrônico aos moradores do distrito pertencente ao município de Sobral/CE, a fim de reafirmar a veracidade dos fatos. Após a análise de todos os dados, concluiu-se que de fato, os moradores do distrito Jaibaras e o açude Ayres de Sousa vem sofrendo durante anos com o descaso do poder público. Observou-se ainda que as moradias irregulares presentes na margem do açude aliado a falta de saneamento no distrito, interferem diretamente na qualidade da água do açude.

Abstract:
The present study aims to analyze the constructions on the banks of the Ayres de Souza dam and the relationship of the local population with the reservoir, pointing out the main socio-environmental damages, caused mainly by the lack of sanitation in these residences, as well as in a large part of the district. Furthermore, the study is based on the population's perception of these problems and aims to verify the quality of life and water quality of one of the main sources of supply in the northern region of Ceará. In addition to bibliographical research on similar cases that have already occurred in Brazil, the history of socio-environmental problems suffered by the district and the impacts of the problems on the quality of life of the dam were studied. In addition, an online survey was necessary, through an electronic form to the residents of the district belonging to the municipality of Sobral/CE, to reaffirm the veracity of the facts. After analyzing all the data, it was concluded that in fact, the residents of Jaibaras district and Ayres de Sousa dam have been suffering for years with the neglect of public power. It was also observed that the irregular dwellings present on the edge of the weir allied to the lack of sanitation in the district, interferes directly in the quality of the water of the weir.
