Abstract: This work presents a study about the constant landslides occurring along Pierre Chalita Avenue, located in the city of Maceió/AL. The analyses were made through site visits, photographic reports and collection of deformed soil samples and tactile-visual classification of its particle size. The main goal is to identify pathologies in the mapped sections of the route in question and suggest proposals to mitigate the problems found. The study was developed by means of bibliographic reviews, through an explanatory descriptive routine that approaches the characteristics of the pathologies and the improvements that mitigating proposals can promote over them. This monograph is based on 2 months observation on Pierre Chalita Avenue, and aims to contribute to the best understanding of the mechanism of action of the found pathologies and to show how the various mitigating actions can act in the face of the found situation.
