CONSIDERAÇÕES SOBRE RESSONÂNCIAS MOURAS NA MÚSICA DE ELOMAR

Este estudo visa promover uma interação entre os elementos literários, historiográficos e estéticos presentes na produção musical de Elomar Figueira Mello. Analisa-se o contexto histórico-cultural, destacando como resultado o obscurecimento do legado da cultura mourisca na obra examinada. Entende-se a cultura moura como um mosaico cultural afro- berbere do Norte da África, que permeou o Nordeste do Brasil através da influência europeia, transformando-se com o passar dos séculos. A discussão teórica e a análise crítica da música de Elomar são exploradas sob a ótica de pensadores como Jacques Rancière, Gilles Deleuze, Nietzsche, Ariano Suassuna, Câmara Cascudo e Luis Soler, entrelaçando história, filosofia, literatura e música. A pesquisa parte do princípio de que a obra de Elomar se encontra imersa em uma rede de práticas e simbologias, que refletem e disseminam os temas do universo mouro. Dentre essas manifestações culturais, destaca-se a figura do cantador, que narra suas histórias em versos; as narrativas que se apoiam na tradição oral dos antigos trovadores ao som da viola, cuja sonoridade retrata o cotidiano do sertão; além do cordel e do repente, que se configuram como expressões de uma literatura oral ritmada, rimada e cantada.

  • Abstract: This study aims to promote an interaction between the literary, historiographic and aesthetic elements present in Elomar Figueira Mello's musical production. The historical-cultural context is analyzed, highlighting as a result the obscuring of the legacy of Moorish culture in the work examined. Moorish culture is understood as an Afro-Berber cultural mosaic from North Africa, which permeated Northeast Brazil through European influence, transforming over the centuries. The theoretical discussion and critical analysis of Elomar's music are explored from the perspective of thinkers such as Jacques Rancière, Gilles Deleuze, Nietzsche, Ariano Suassuna, Câmara Cascudo and Luis Soler, intertwining history, philosophy, literature and music. The research assumes that Elomar's work is immersed in a network of practices and symbolism, which reflect and disseminate themes from the Moorish universe. Among these cultural manifestations, the figure of the singer stands out, who tells his stories in verse; the narratives that are based on the oral tradition of ancient troubadours to the sound of the viola, whose sound portrays the daily life of the backlands; in addition to the cordel and the sudden, which are configured as expressions of a rhythmic, rhymed and sung oral literature.
