CONFLITO E IDENTIDADE NO ESPAÇO PÓS-SOVIÉTICO: O CASO DE NAGORNO-KARABAKH
Este capítulo tem por intuito analisar as dinâmicas envolvidas no conflito de Nagorno-Karabakh desde seu início até aproximadamente o final dos anos 2000, a fim de obter maior entendimento acerca das particularidades dos conceitos de Estado e nação no espaço pós-soviético e vislumbrar perspectivas de resolução do embate. Para tanto, parte-se da hipótese de que as construções de identidades, nesse contexto, atuam, junto de consequências de fenômenos históricos ligados à égide da URSS, como grandes fontes de complexidade e, ainda, como grandes norteadores dos desdobramentos do litígio. Com o objetivo de demonstrar o exposto, será realizada uma breve contextualização do caso escolhido, seguida de uma análise tripartida das características materiais e imateriais da região irredentista. A seguir, serão realizadas uma breve exposição teórica acerca da relação entre Estado e identidade e um relato histórico das negociações de paz. Enfim, analisar-se-á, a partir dos parâmetros determinados, as perspectivas de superação do conflito colocado.

Abstract:
The present chapter aims to analyze the dynamics involved in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict from its beginning until approximately the end of the 2000’s, in order to better understand the particularities of the concepts of state and nation in the post-Soviet space and to envision perspectives for resolving the conflict. We shall base our arguments on the hypothesis that the construction of identities, in this context, act, together with the consequences of historical phenomena linked to the aegis of the USSR, as great sources of complexity and, still, as great drivers of the unfolding of the litigation. In order to demonstrate the above, a brief contextualization of the chosen case will be carried out, followed by a tripartite analysis of the material and immaterial characteristics of the irredentist region. Next, there will be a brief theoretical presentation on the relationship between state and identity and a historical account of the peace negotiations. Finally, the perspectives of overcoming the conflict will be analyzed, based on the parameters determined.
