Abstract: The article addresses a field study conducted in public schools in Santo Ângelo in 2013, focusing on pedagogical practices in Physical Education. It explores the concept of planning and its significance in education, emphasizing the interaction between theory and practice. The article examines the relationship between school education and social context, citing Kant and Marx. It analyzes school Physical Education, discussing active methodological approaches and the importance of understanding the cultural body of movement. The methodology employs qualitative research of multiple cases, collecting data through documents, interviews, and analyses. The results reveal discrepancies between theoretical definitions and practices in Physical Education, with a lack of integration and collaboration between teachers and the school. The concluding remarks underline the necessity to enhance official documents, integrate theory and practice, and foster better collaboration among the school, coordination, and teachers for a more effective education.
